Jason Mulvihill

Jason Mulvihill is the President of Chief Executive Officer of the Association for Consumer Debt Relief (ACDR). ACDR is the leading national association of debt relief companies. ACDR educates consumers and policymakers about debt resolution and its benefits, holds debt resolution companies to the highest industry standards, and protects and expands access to accredited debt resolution services nationwide.
Mulvihill brings extensive leadership, legal, and policy expertise to ACDR. Before joining ACDR, Mulvihill spent two decades in leadership roles at the intersection of financial services, technology, policy, and politics. He previously served as President of Capitol Asset Strategies, a leading consulting and advocacy firm.
He also formerly served for over twelve years as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at the American Investment Council (AIC), the primary private equity and private credit trade association, where he spearheaded successful advocacy efforts on numerous high-profile legislative and regulatory issues. His leadership efforts helped preserve licenses to operate for private equity firms, private credit firms, and many private fund portfolio companies. Mulvihill played an instrumental role in saving billions of dollars for businesses worldwide.
Before his tenure at AIC, Mulvihill held senior roles on Capitol Hill, serving first as senior staff on the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee and then as a Legislative Director and Chief Counsel in the United States Senate. As a Legislative Director and Chief Counsel, Mulvihill was responsible for tax and trade issues before the Senate Finance Committee. In 2009, he developed and secured enactment of cancellation of debt income legislation.
Before working on Capitol Hill, Mulvihill was an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Washington, D.C., practicing antitrust law.
Mulvihill graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University. He received his law degree from Columbia University Law School. He is a member of the New York State, District of Columbia, and United States Supreme Court Bars. -
Michael Lukso

Before joining ACDR, Michael Lukso led government affairs for the Americas at a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, where he managed legislative and regulatory engagement, advised C-suite executives on political and policy developments, and oversaw the company’s political action committee. His work helped position the exchange at the forefront of debates around financial innovation and digital assets, including efforts to enact stablecoin and market structure legislation.
Previously, Mr. Lukso served as Vice President of Government Affairs at the American Investment Council (AIC), an advocacy and research organization representing the private equity industry and promoting its successful record of investing across every state in the country. At AIC, he led Democratic outreach to the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and Administration with a focus on tax and financial services policy. During his tenure, he was associated with some of the most high-profile policy fights in D.C., including the various tax policies in the Inflation Reduction Act and the Private Fund Advisor Rule.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Lukso served as a senior advisor to Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) and Rep. John Delaney (D-MD)—two leading moderate voices and thought leaders on the U.S. House Financial Services Committee. With significant congressional and campaign experience from numerous Blue Dog Democrats and New Democrats—Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL), Rep. Heath Shuler (D-NC), Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL), and Rep. Debbie Halvorson (D-IL)—Mr. Lukso became a trusted voice on policy and politics among key leaders.
Mr. Lukso holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he gained his first foray into politics with the Obama for U.S. Senate campaign. -
Stacey Silva

Stacey is the Head of Compliance for the Association for Consumer Debt Relief, the oldest and largest association representing America’s debt resolution companies and is the leading voice for the industry. ACDR’s mission is to educate consumers and policymakers about debt resolution and its benefits, hold debt resolution companies to the highest industry standards, and protect and expand access to accredited debt resolution services nationwide. As head of compliance, Stacey leads the program that creates and oversees ACDR standards and works with ACDR member companies as they adhere to all federal and state laws. She makes sure that the standards are in the best interest of consumers and the industry and that best-in-class auditing practices for the industry are in place.
Stacey joined ACDR after leading risk and compliance work at one of the nation’s top banks, Wells Fargo. As senior vice president at Wells Fargo, Stacey created and led the risk and compliance program for the Corporate Communications division. Prior to Wells Fargo, Stacey was a senior advisor at the Federal Housing Finance Agency, the federal regulator that oversees Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Home Loan Bank System. Additionally, Stacey served in the highest levels of government including as a director at The White House managing the Presidential travel program and in the West Wing in Oval Office Operations, as a deputy assistant secretary for International Trade at the U.S. Department of Commerce facilitating U.S. exports worldwide, and as a deputy associate administrator for the Office of Communication and Public Liaison at the U.S. Small Business Administration where she oversaw communications, external relations, intergovernmental affairs, and the advisory councils.
Stacey is the recipient of a Federal Housing Finance Agency Mission Critical Award and the Silver Medal Award for Leadership, a top award from the U.S. Department of Commerce, and she is a member and Young Leader of the American Council on Germany.
Stacey earned a Master of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and a Bachelor of Science, graduating magna cum laude, from Emerson College in Boston, MA. -
Michael Komaschka

Michael R. Komaschka is the Government Relations Manager, Central Region for the Association for Consumer Debt Relief.
Over more than 20 years, Michael has held several diverse positions dealing with government and politics. He is an expert at developing and executing strategies that align organizational goals with advocacy plans, engage stakeholders, produce positive outcomes, and mitigate business risk. Michael has worked for nonprofits, small advocacy firms, in government, and at a Fortune 300 company for which he managed government relations across a nine-state region. Before coming to ACDR, Michael owned his own public affairs firm where he managed a range of issues for clients across several states.
Michael earned his B.A. in political science and communications from Cleveland State University before completing his M.A. in applied politics from the University of Akron. He lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and two children. -
Karin Stragand
Head of Membership Services and Events

Karin Stragand is the Head of Membership Services and Events for the Association for Consumer Debt Relief. Karin has led member services and event coordination for the ACDR since 2012. In her role, she serves as a liaison between the executive board and members on a day-to-day basis and organizes ACDR’s member conferences.
Before joining the ACDR, Karin was a Senior Operations Manager for Century Support Services for eight years. She developed effective solutions internally and externally, coordinating action plans with key team members. Previously, Karin was a Project Manager at Fiserv, a financial services and technology solutions provider, for over 15 years, where she facilitated the successful transfer of financial product operating systems for banks during the merger and acquisition process.
Karin holds a B.A from the University of Pittsburgh.
